Balloon Adventure

Flying in a hot air balloon certainly was a dream come true for me. I've always imagined how it would be. Scary? Not quite! It was at most peaceful and dreamlike. If you have never done it, you should find the closest place to you and do it. This flight was above Napa Valley in California. The shot was during our decent and the little tufts of green look like tree tops... they were small shrubs at best. Funny how the perspective makes it look like vast landscape.

I was very excited to photograph the REDWOOD trees in California... my goal was to take a picture to show the enormity of these wonderful specimen. It was not an easy task since our view from beneath the trees did not allow for a single full length shot. My solution was taking panoramic shots and then I stitched them together to create one photograph. Notice the individual on the bottom of the shot... by his size you may be able to imagine just how large these trees are in person.
