One of my best friends used to work in Williamsburg, Virginia as a bartender and invited me out one night to shoot photos of the scene. He made me a couple of different cocktails and I shot fun shots of the interior, the drinks (some of which I drank), and the patrons. To keep the ambiance, I tried most of the shots with available lighting and a slow shutter speed. In some shots I did funky effects with my slave flash. I love the detail in this shot with the cold wet glass and the bright blue contrasting with the dark burgundy liquid.

Cold Drink in a Blue Room
