Hola Butterfly

I know that perhaps this photo may not constitute anything as earth shattering or terribly brilliant as far as photography goes, but there is something mesmerizing about a butterfly when it lands close to you. Perhaps it's their unpredictable moods and the way they tease you with their flirty flight patterns, where you hope they grace you with a soft landing on your arm. They rarely do, but once when you have one perched upon you, then you experience that half-panic breathlessness because you don't want the beautiful creature to fly away so fast. Your eyes get huge trying to soak in all that you are gazing at.

This particular specimen was larger than my hand when it was fully stretched out. It seemed to pose just so when I put my camera to my face. "Thank you," I giggled to the butterfly.

Perhaps I could add an artistic flair to it. How's about something like this?

It does go well with my newest logo. (You'll see that new swirl design in most of my photography from now on. Do you like it?)

Also, this is great timing on my part I guess ;-) ... the Panel Gallery at Sweet Briar College has announced it's newest photography exhibit and guess what the theme is???
